Description: In 2014 GCU set forth to build a brand new fully serviced dorm community on the north side of campus. This included four 5-story dorms, an aquatic center, c-store, athletic fields, and workout space.

OCOTILLO HALL

Description: In 2014 GCU had an urgent need for an additional dorm for the fall of 2014 students. After some quick coordination, team Pono with their team of subcontractors worked expediently to complete Ocotillo on time for students to move in for fall classes.

  • Each unit contains a snack center with common area laundry service

  • 2 Elevators in the building

PAPAGO APARTMENTS

Volume/Size: 227,000 Square Feet

In 2014 an apartment style dorm was selected for construction which included a mail center, fitness area, aquatic center, and health care offices on the first floor of the building.

  • Five story, one floor of post-tension concrete with four stories of wood framing above. Project split into two buildings.

  • Each unit contains full kitchens with common area laundry service

  • 4 Elevators in the two buildings

 PRESCOTT HALL

In 2011, GCU implemented an apartment prototype resulting in 6 projects that are virtually identical, although with various unique features. The following details are typical for approximately 128 suites per building across six total projects.

  • Each unit contains a snack center with common area laundry service

  • 2 Elevators in each building
